Welcome to the small town of Bright Falls. Home to various pine trees and a small town population. On the outside it may look normal but a darker presence lurks within.
Ten years ago a writer by the name of Alan Wake disappeared along side a dark presence. The mark he left upon the town was one of complete mystery. In his absence the town slid back into its normal paces.
People came, people left, tourists continued to rent the isolated cabins on Cauldron lake. Bright Falls forgot the darkness that had almost consumed it but never the writer behind it. But now something even darker calls, trying to break free from the glossy surface of the black waters of Cauldron lake.
Strange disappearances of towns folk have spooked the locals, with good reason. The darkness has broken free of its prison and this time there is nobody to stop it. All will be consumed to shadow.
